First Night at Home

My Big Brother Kaden was very excited to have the whole family home. He went to school today so he could show them the picture of us together.
My Big Sister Cydne also had to go to school, and think she is going to be a good big sister. Both have been very helpful to Mom and Dad. I kept Mom and Dad up quite a bit last night, so Grandma and Grandpa Patridge are helping out today.

Madox and the Ratliff family,

I know that you don't know me personally, but I was told of your story by a co-worker of mine, Shannon Jasmon who I believe has a son that one of your children go to school with. My 2 yr old daughter, Ella was born with transposition and had open heart at Childrens in 2006. Dr. Gandhi was also her surgeon and as you know was such an amazing DR.,surgeon and person. Oh,n and to answer your question, I dont think he sleeps, let alone takes a day off!! He was there for Ella around the clock and we could not have asked for a better nursing staff. I just thought I would stop by and hopefully give a little peace of mind. Ella was in the hospital for apx 1 mth, and We too had the same concerns bringing her home without any monitors etc. Because of this I spent many nights just listening to her chest to make sure everything was working ok, but she has had no problems since and is now just having to see Dr. Ramzi Nicolas here in Springfield, 1 x a year. Last summer they also told us that there was no need to do the heart cath that is pretty common post surgery for transposition because she was doing so well. I am confident that your little guy will recover very quickly and be up and running, and "talking back" in no time!!! You are all in our prayers and I am so happy to see that little Maddox is doing so well!! Please feel free to call or email as well if you have any questions or just need to talk. Hi Guys! Checking Madox's blogspot everyday is now part of my normal routine! Love the pictures of the other kids, too. Kaden looks soooo big and Cydne's hair is too cute! I find it hard to believe that only 8 days ago he was having his surgery. He must be so strong! I hope you'll quickly become comfortable at home again and your new sense of "normal" will settle over the family. You guys all look just great and we continue to think of and pray for you. Nothing but bright days ahead, now!!! xoxo The Bergmans

We loved seeing the pictures of Kaden and Cydne holding Madox! We just wanted to say hi and we hope you're all getting some rest. Everyone has been so happy to read and hear the news that you're all home together, safe and sound. Take care, and let us know when you're ready for a "little" visitor. Colton is sure looking forward to meeting his new cousin!
We're praying for you.

Kurt, Jen, and family, Just a quick note to say welcome home. Hopefully you're starting to settle in and get some good rest. When I had John last year, I didnt return home for almost 2 weeks. The mail, housework, and day-to-day stuff was overwhelming to come home to. I hope you're having a smooth transition to "normal" (whatever normal is :-) Thanks to Liz for the initial blog info, and Kurt for continuing to update us throughout those first crazy 11 days. We'll continue to pray for all! I would love to see you all before Patridge Christmas in December, but I'm a realist :-) !!
Love to all our Patridge clan, Amy, Morrie, and boys

Hey guys,
Glad to hear that Mr. Madox is still doing good. He is such a beautiful baby. Tate got to come home on Tuesday - with the drain tube still in. Rance and I are not nurses but we are trying our best. We have an appointment with Dr. Gandhi on Thursday and are praying that they will be able to take the tube out then.
You guys have a beautiful family. We are so glad to have met you.
Blessings,
