Two Steps forward and One Step Back

I ate real well last night, Dad poked in 72ml at 6am. But now the drainage from my chest tube turned cloudy and they say I have Chylous Pleural Effusion, which means I am draining fat or triglycerides out through my chest tube. They will watch me closely, and Iwill have to eat a special low-triglyceride formula called Portagen. Nine days old and I am already on a diet. This will probably delay my arrival home, but still thinking earyly next week if my drainage clears or stops. Dad had a long night, so hopefully he will put up some pics of me later today after he takes a nap.

P.S. Haven't heard anything from Fisher's family yet, but we will continue to pray for him all day.

Madox, what are you trying to do? Emotions I am sure are running high with everyone, and it is hard to hear that you are having another problem (no matter how slight it is). You are in my thoughts and prayers always, and you will continue to be. Please get better so you can home! We want good updates, and, as I said before, quit scaring your parents!!! Hugs and kisses!

Love,

Aunt Lori

ANY step foward means you're getting better little buddy. You hang in there. We're still praying for you for a full recovery, so you do your part by eating and getting plenty of rest. (You, too, Mom and Dad).

Ok, Madox - how about you take no steps back - that sounds like a plan to me!! We are still praying for you and your friend Fisher. I am going to try and make it on Sunday, don't worry "wild man" Kyle won't be with me. He is very excited to see you but we will wait until you get home and are ready for such a rowdy crew!!! Hang in there - keep up the good eating. Love ya lots

To all, keep your chin up and know you will be home soon playing with grandpa's "worms", running off with his "stuff", and demanding from grandma that you want a "aattention". I think grandpa can handle baiting another hook for you. Clay City will never be the same when you hit town with your brother, sister and cousins. Little guy, you have awesome grandparents that will spoil you rotten. You are very special and have drawn so many people together.

Thanks for the updates. We really appreciate them. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and Fisher always. Thanks for paving the way for Fisher so you can calm his parents when he takes a baby step backwards. Keep progressing and get home quickly.

Hey Mr. Madox, you really keep those doctors jumping. That's a good thing - they need to be challenged every now and then. But any step forward is a good thing. Take care - share our love and prayers with your Mom & Dad and Fisher, too.

Madox,
Tell your mommy and daddy that their friends at MOPS would like to help bring supper to them a couple nights once you get home. They're real busy taking care of you, so we want to do what we can to take care of them. Hang in there, little buddy!

Madox...keep on making those huge strides forward. I am just amazed at your progress and strength. You have done so well. Everyone here at work keeps asking about you. I'm pretty sure you are almost to "star" status by now :)

Mighty Madox,

We just wanted to let you know that we are praying for you and your little friend Fisher & his family. You will be able to help them a lot in the next few days. You might want to quit teasing your Mom & Dad so much & save some of it for Grandpa P. because he loves to tease & at times thinks he's really funny. What's funny is that Grandma P. really thinks he's funny at times too.

Later,

Aunt Connie & Uncle Mike

Madox, I was showing Kyle your pics and he wanted me to tell you "I love you". He really cannot wait until you are home and ready for visitors. Hope all is going well today and you are not causing too many more scares for your mom and dad. I think you have provided enough of that for a lifetime. Hang in there and I will check back later.

Hugs and Kisses from MO
