Silent Night

Dr. Gandhi turned off my monitors, because Mom and Dad were paying too much attention to them and not to me. They are still checking my oxygen levels every few hours. For now my levels are good and the nasal canula is gone. Mom and Dad are very nervous without all my bells and whistles. I'm hoping for a good night of sleep, but I have a feeling Mom and Dad will be taking shifts watching over me all night long. The excitement for our Saturday evening was I went #1 on Mom and my entire bed. Not a bad aim, I got my noodle, afgan, baby blanket and crib sheet all with one shot.

P.S. Fisher is still in the unit, which is a good sign 24 hours after surgery, however Dad has not been able to talk to his dad today to get any information.

Madox are you already learning how to play your mom and dad? Did Kaden tell you some secrets last weekend? You need to keep your oxygen levels up and keep your bottles down tonight. I also want to brag on you for how well you have done through all of this. Doctors were talking about you having to stay 2-3 week and now they are talking only 1 WEEK, you might be able to go home. (Unbelivable) You tell your mom and dad to keep staying positive and you will be home in record time.

Madox,
We are so proud of you! What a fighter you have been through all of this. You have certainly shown all of us what is important in our lives. Kaden and Cydne are awaiting your arrival. They are constantly checking the blog to see what the lastest is.

Jennifer and Kurt--We always knew you were "amazing" parents but your strengths have certainly shown even more. We love you very much!!!

We will be on our way to St. Louis hopefully by 7:30a.m.

Good morning Kurt, Jen, and Madox. I am pleasantly shocked by Madox's unbelievable progress. Way to go!!! Today is John Curtis' first birthday- we're going to party! I remember how unsure and nervous I was when they turned off all his monitors and said adios! I know Mom and Dad will do excellent caring for you Madox! Remember Kurt and Jen, you have an awesome support system once you all do get home. Cydne and Kaden, have a great week and hopefully your bubbie gets to come home soon. Sending hugs and kisses to all our Patridge clan!
Love, Amy, Morrie, and boyd

Kurt, Jen, & family:

Ken & I continually check the blog and rejoice with each step Madox makes (and say another prayer with any set backs that come up).

Lovin' the pictures of your cute CUTE boy!!

We're all prayin' for you here at church and claim God's promises to be with you when you go home.

Remember, God goes before us and prepares the way and our job is to trust Him with complete faith! Understandable that the road ahead is scary, but how thankful to have a God we can rely on each step of the way!

Please let Fisher's family know we all are praying for his progress.

Love & hugs to ya'll!

Blessings ~ Sarah Gennicks

Hey Madox, congratulations on your aim. I have to tell you that when your brother Kaden was a baby, I was changing his diaper, and having two girls, I was not prepared to be soaked. Thanks for the heads up. I will be careful when I get a chance to change your diaper.
The snow finally stopped, and the sun is actually shining. It will be a great day for both of us. You are going to do awesome today, and we are going to see sun.
Keep getting stronger so that you can go home to your beautiful room and rest comfortably. Also, mom and dad can get good rest in their own bed, and mom will know it is clean.
Kurt and Jen, I cannot imagine how you feel, and the thoughts you are having about taking Madox home, but just think how strong he is. He has already gone through so much, and he has stayed strong, and each day he gets more strength. You both have wonderful families and friends that will help you out.
Stay strong and positive. You will all be home very soon.

Yeah, Madox! Way to keep everyone smiling. There will be more smiles and more cheers when you get to go home. Keep up the good work. Kurt and Jen--you guys are amazing. You've taken care of Madox's every need. Don't forget to let your friends and family take care of your needs, too.

We're here for you.
